NAMMEX is an applied mycology company that specializes in the research, development and production of medicinal mushroom products for the health food, nutraceutical and nutritional supplement industry. 		Our cultivated mushrooms come from select genetic stock and are grown on standardized substrates. Our reishi cultivars are genetically selected for maximum triterpene production. Shiitake and maitake are grown using substrates and methods that produce the highest nutritional and medicinal qualities. Whether for food use, tea, extraction or nutraceutical production, our whole mushroom powders are the finest raw materials available.

		Mushrooms are the "fruiting body" of a fine root-like network called mycelium, which is the actual fungal organism. Mycelium is capable of, and efficient at, producing medicinal compounds by itself, especially polysaccharides.
