QAI Certified Mushroom Products meet NOP Standards

North American Reishi/Nammex is pleased to announce that our organic products are now certified by Quality Assurance International, QAI, of San Diego, California. This assures that our organic products meet the new regulations as set forth in the U.S. National Organic Program, NOP.

North American Reishi/Nammex has been producing certified organic mushroom products since 1993. At that time we used a local volunteer organization called BCARA. A deeply committed group, BCARA demonstrated dedication and knowledge of organic farming because its members were organic growers themselves. In later years BCARA and other British Columbia certifiers organized under a Provincial government umbrella organization called COABC. We are grateful to these groups for the time and effort that they have expended and will continue to support them.

In recent years our products have been purchased by companies world-wide and now that the NOP has come into effect we have found it necessary to use a more international certification body. We have chosen QAI because it understands the supplement industry and has a proven track record of excellence. It has also met all the criteria to qualify as a worldwide certifier.

Organic certification requires adherence to an ethic that recognizes the importance of toxin-free production of nutritional products. NAMMEX supports this ethic and strives towards the complete certification of our product line.
